Rhonda Moniz, President of the Marine & Oceanographic Technology Network (MOTN) has announced the launch of MOTN Global, an initiative to better connect the organization’s members to key industry, research, governmental, and defense stakeholders in select global markets. Ms. Moniz stated, “MOTN has a membership base comprised of leading marine technology companies and research institutions. MOTN Global will help them to identify and connect with international partners, leading to collaborative product development, joint research, and sales.”
Ms. Moniz has appointed Toby Stapleton, Vice President of the MOTN board and managing partner of the Pathfinder Consulting Group, to lead MOTN Global. “MOTN already has a long history of wonderful professional and business relationships and strong partnerships with some of the leading marine technology associations around the world. These include formal Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), with our sister associations Oceans Advance (Newfoundland and Labrador) as well as Technopole maritime du Québec (Province of Québec). MOTN Global will build upon these partnerships to develop programming and other endeavors to connect our respective members with expanded opportunities”, states Dr. Stapleton.
The Marine & Oceanographic Technology Network (MOTN) was formed in 1994 as a non-profit corporation with the express purpose of promoting, supporting, and expanding marine technology and oceanographic manufacturing and service and support businesses. MOTN is a membership driven organization led by a volunteer board of directors. For more information, visit www.motn.org.
