FARSOUNDER RELEASES END USER TRAINING

The online End User Training for FarSounder’s Argos Systems has been released. It is the second in a series of trainings being released by FarSounder this year. The curriculum covers the technology, system operations, interpretation of the sonar data, and system maintenance. FARSOUNDER LAUNCHES ON-LINE TRAINING

FarSounder is proud to announce the launch of their on-line training platform. The team has put in countless hours gathering the content to get this system up and running, and it is now available to the public. The first training program to be released in the series is the FarSounder Technician Training

This innovative on-line training class allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of how to commission, service, and maintain the Argos series of 3D Forward Looking Sonars. MCLANE ANNOUNCES PASSING OF FOUNDER DR. SUS HONJO

(Falmouth, MA) – McLane Research Labs announces with great sorrow the passing of its founder, Dr. Susumu ‘Sus’ Honjo. He died peacefully at home on 23 December 2020 surrounded by his family. His pioneering work as a scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) contributed to the understanding and observations of marine particle compositions and fluxes and of the oceanic biological pump. Dr. Honjo was a 2019 recipient of the first ever WHOI Distinguished Emeritus Award for his lifetime achievements. >>Full details
