(MSI) produces sensors, projectors, and sonar survey arrays for mine hunting, obstacle avoidance, swath bathymetry, acoustic communications, harbor defense, and a variety of AUV/UUV applications. MSI's transducers incorporate piezoceramic-polymer composite to achieve extremely broad bandwidth, high Transmit Voltage Response (TVR), and high Receiving Voltage Sensitivity (RVS), MSI's piezocomposite transducers can be conformed to curved surfaces, and they have been shown to meet full explosive shock requirements for Navy operations in both the USA and UK. MSI also produces custom piezoceramic actuators and sensors for vibration control, flow velocity measurement, power generation, nondestructive testing, and other acoustic imaging applications. |
